Capturing a picture of an infant is like capturing lighting in a bottle. To have all the elements of focus, composition, and personality is very rare. So here is one for the Grandparents. Enjoy.

Today Doug and Ralph (super pro carpenters/contractors) put up the first phase of the trellis. This structure will bring much needed shade to the "full sun patio" we currently have.

I can't overemphasize how great it was to serve and fellowship with these two. Please observe my critical role in the project.

One of our favorite things about the summertime is the evenings. We love spending time with our friends in the unhurried moments of the end of the day. Please enjoy the new video post "Noah Smiling?" These pics are from this week.

Please enjoy the new Video Post " Fire Not Working"

Sam went to his first movie today! We took this opportunity to spend some time with Amy before she leaves in August.

Once we navigated through the dark and the noise he enjoyed the movie experience for about one hour....Popcorn and a lollipop bought us the final hour. Yep, 2 hour Peter Jackson Pixar movie.

He danced in his chair and gave his commentary throughout.

At the end he clapped and told us that he had fun. I asked him what is favorite part of the movie was he replied " favorite part of the movie was?" I said "Sam what part did you like the most?" "part did you like the most." he replied. yep. Lasting memories...

It was as good summer activity in the 106 degree heat.

The 4th of July is one of the best things the city celebrates. The day is full of Parades and Fireworks (see the fireworks video to see what Sam thought of the show). We enjoyed hanging out with friends and family all day. Very fun day!

As you talk with parents they tell you that "the kids grow up fast" I never really believed them...in fact I wanted the baby to grow up fast (it means I wouldn't have to wake up in the middle of the night). It does go by fast. This time we are slowing down and really enjoying this stage...at least as best we can. The promises in God's word and pictures like this help us do that.
